Mario tries to introduce himself to Candyce, but Cliff aggressively elbows his way in-between them and engages with Candyce in a wary, sparring flirtation. Candyce notices Mario and makes an admiring comment which elicits a comment from Mario expressing his disappointment in her efforts to get attention from a finance bro. Cliff makes a disparaging comment to Mario, who responded by remarking that Cliff is lucky to escape the insult without a beatdown. As Mario makes to leave the bar Candyce tries to smooth the waters by making light of the exchanges.
